Shift/Schedule: Full Time Position: Primarily: 3rd Shift (flexible) 11pm - 7:30am w/rotation to 7pm - 3:30am. Including weekend and/or holiday rotation.

Summary:
Responsible for safe efficient practices for decontamination, instrument assembly, wrapping and sterilization of all reprocessed instruments and distribution equipment. Requires case cart management. A good understanding of medical/surgical terminology, basic computer skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi task and work independently preferred. High School Diploma/GED, Certified Surgical Processing Technician obtained from a recognized training program (IAHCSMM or CBSPD). Minimum six (6) months experience within the Surgical Processing, Central Service or operating room environment within CC or one (1) year experience outside required within these related areas, or successful completion of a recognized training program and certification or certification eligibility may substitute for up to three (3) months experience. Nine (9) months on-the-job training to learn inventory control functions, operation and testing of sterilizers, processing of complex instrumentation, case cart building, regulations and quality controls standards. Preferred experience in all phases of CPD.
