Job Details: Summary: Provides professional nursing care to patients and clinical supervision to assigned employees. Coordinates operational issues in specified clinical area. Assumes responsibilities of Clinical Manager as needed. Job Responsibilities: Assesses patient; completes nursing assessment. Notifies physician of abnormal findings. Establishes a nursing care plan in collaboration with the patient, family and health care team. Works as part of an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate on going care. Identifies cost-effective ways to maximize wellness, prevent illness, disease and disability. Assists with specialized patient care equipment as required by the clinical department and medical speciality assigned. Initiates CPR and other emergency measures as required. Administers medications and treatments as ordered by a physician. Other duties as assigned. Education: Graduate of an accrediated school of nursing. Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent nursing experience. Previous Charge Nurse or supervisory experience preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current valid State Registered Nurse (RN) License. Physical Requirements: Requires full range of motion; manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Requires some exposure to communiicable diseases or bodily fluids. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of forcefrequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
