Job Details:
Summary: Responsible for all craftsman duties and acts as supervisor in their absence.
Job Responsibilities: Responds to emergency situations as required at any time. May assist in training and instructing an apprentice or other assigned employee. Lays out work projects, schedules job assignments, and delegates various tradesmen to perform the work. Reporting of disciplinary issues to supervisor. Other duties as assigned.
Education: Completion of an approved apprentice program, or on-the-job training in Electrical, Plumbing, Painting, Power House, Carpentry, A.C./Refrigeration or Machinist Power Plant field as required at CCF or externally and as appropriate for the shop assignment.
Experience: Four years of experience as a fully qualified Craftsman in an institutional, commercial, or industrial area. Working knowledge of blueprints, electrical schematics, and control diagrams as appropriate for trade. AutoCad documents. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Yes as appropriate for trade.
Preferred Qualifications: High voltage experience is preferred; Role supports 10 Industrial Electricians covering generators and emergency systems.
Physical Requirements: Typical physical demands require full body motion including ability to perform work while bending, stooping, stretching, climbing ladders; requires dexterity and strength sufficient to operate required tools and machinery; typically required to lift and carry machinery and/or equipment weighing 25 to 100 lbs. and/or assist with lifting weights exceeding 100 lbs. Requires color acuity sufficient to distinguish color-coded wiring and piping.
