Job Details:
Summary: Creates a sanitary, safe environment and enhances the appearance of the facility.
Job Responsibilities: Cleans assigned areas daily. Maintains hard floor surfaces: stripping and refinishing, mopping and buffing, auto-scrub as needed. Maintains carpets; shampoo, extraction, gum removal and daily maintenance. Completes waste stream removal; general waste, recycling, infectious waste ect. Follows all Environmental Services technical and operational standard operating procedures. Follows and adheres to all hospital and departmental safety requirements. Other duties as assigned.
Education: High School Diploma/General Educational Development(GED) preferred.
Experience: No prior experience required. One year related experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: None
Physical Requirements: Typical physical demands require a full range of body motion. Duties may be performed while standing and walking for the majority of the shift and include pulling and pushing of equipment. The ability to stoop, stretch and lift while performing duties is required. Requires regular handling and use of disinfectants and other cleaning agents and chemicals. Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
