POSITION SUMMARY:
Plans and provides spiritual and emotional support to patients, family members, and/or significant others; supervises and coordinates all spiritual care related activities/programs, i.e. Stephen Ministry; develops and provides educational and supportive programs/classes in response to patients and community needs, and responds to referrals and emergencies; addresses ethical concerns and demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide compassionate services to individuals/groups according to chronological age, developmental age, psycho-social maturity, gender, religious background, and ethnic/cultural heritage.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Ordained or its equivalency with ecclesiastical endorsement from a recognized religious body. Master’s degree in Ministry, Theology or Pastoral Care
Required Length and Type of Experience: Five years in Healthcare Chaplaincy. A Stephen Ministry or Lay Pastoral Care Leader
Required Licensure, Certification or Registry: Board Certified Chaplain by the Association of Professional Chaplains
