Shift/Schedule: Part Time Position (benefit eligible): Primarily: 1st Shift (7am - 2:30pm w/flexible end time).

Summary:
Under the direction of a physician, or group of physicians responsible for one or more medical sections; performs secretarial and administrative support activities for the office. Functions as liaison inter and intra-departmentally. Knowledge of office procedures, protocols, organization and office systems; knowledge of correspondence formatting, grammar, spelling and punctuation; knowledge of basic mathematics. Requires typing proficiency with accuracy. Knowledge of the operation of a variety of PC or word processing systems. Knowledge of medical terminology gained through experience or formal coursework may be required. Requires excellent interpersonal skills and strong oral, written communication skills and good organizational skills. Minimum two years clerical experience in a medical, commercial or industrial environment. Associate's degree or equivalent coursework in secretarial science, business administration or other related field may substitute for one year of the required experience. After selection and placement, requires up to six months training to learn patient access, department and CC procedures and policies.
