Job Details: Summary: Maintain a safe and clean environment; maintain established levels of supplies; maintain proper equipment function; and transport patients and complete errands. Job Responsibilities: Maintains and cleans equipment as requested by RN. Performs other transportation functions as required including but not limited to delivery of patient specimens, medical records and patient care equipment. Collaborates with members of health care team to promote the delivery of patient care and overall functioning of unit. Maintains, cleans and adjusts department's equipment including wheelchairs as needed. Keeps patient areas neat and uncluttered. Performs other related duties as may be assigned. Other duties as assigned. Education: High School Diploma or GED. Experience: Health care experience preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration: None Physical Requirements: Requires full range of body motion including handling and frequent patient lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires frequent standing, walking, bending/stooping, kneeling, reaching and squatting. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
