Under the direction of the Nurse Manager and the Physician, assists in the provision of care and treatment to a specified group of patients.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Current demonstrated clinical competence. Ability to work independently without direct supervision. Understanding of human anatomy sufficient to perform duties of the job. Basic knowledge of math. Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Ability to function in a variety of medical situations. Must complete
Level C Health Care Provider training during new hire period.
Required Length and Type of Experience
One year experience as a cast technician or in a related position in the operating room or other related patient care setting.
Required Licensure, Certification or Registry
CPR Certificiation
Required Physical and Environmental Demands
Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing or sitting for extensive periods of time. Able to lift and transfer patients. Requires some exposure to body fluids.
