Summary: Uses a variety of instructional design techniques and software applications to design and develop Web-based learning. Manages the client relationship and the project work plan; collaborates with subject matter experts to write engaging and appropriate content; consults with multimedia and programming specialists to identify graphic elements and interactions; uses storyboards, templates, and other tools and processes to produce high quality professional courseware.

Job Responsibilities: Analyzes technical content, target audience, job tasks and work flows, and learner environment to identify appropriate instructional strategies and define learning objectives that meet the needs of adult learners in a Web-based training environment. Consults extensively with subject matter experts in person, or by phone and email to capture project specific knowledge and structure existing content for best learning experience by the end-user. Executes superior storyboarding skills to precisely communicate instructional strategies to the development team. Writes content and script interactive case studies and scenarios. Writes documentation and instructions to assist subject matter experts/clients. Creates courses using appropriate software. Designs and develops assessment schema's that measure the learner's mastery of course material and evaluates the learner's ability to perform job-related tasks. Other duties as assigned.

Education: BA/BS in Education, Instructional Design, Training and Development, Instructional Technology, or a related field; plus classroom teaching experience.

Experience: Minimum 3 years experience designing and developing eLearning (will consider an appropriate MA/MS degree with 1 year of experience developing eLearning). Working knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional strategies for online learning. Excellent keyboarding skills and expertise using Windows-based applications, including MS Office and Web browsers. Demonstrated proficiency with Dreamweaver and Flash required; proficiency with other eLearning development tools (for instance, Lectora, Toolbook, etc.) a plus.

Physical Requirements: Able to sit for long periods of time. Manual dexterity to perform computer functions. Normal or corrected vision.
