Summary: Directs financial operations in assigned areas to ensure alignment with the mission, values and objectives of the department and organization.
Job Responsibilities: Develops complex departmental goals, plans and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization. Plans, organizes and directs all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives. Coordinates and directs complex internal/external audits. Demonstrates high level knowledge of applicable statutory, regulatory and administrative requirements relative to departmental operations and ensures compliance with the same. Prepares multiple departmental budgets and ensures that the departments operate in compliance with allocated funding. Other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, accounting or business administration. Experience: Minimum ten years experience in hospital accounting/reimbursement or contract management as specified in job specific duties. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Certified Management Accounant (CMA) certification/Master's degree preferred.
Physical Requirements: A high degree of dexterity to produce materials on a PC, normal or corrected vision; frequent sitting; occasional walking, standing and reaching; rarely pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds.
