Position open only to Decision Support Services Employees!!
Summary: Manages department or work group that ensures accurate decision support data and results; summarizes key findings for presentation to leadership; acts as an internal consultant regarding financial, cost and patient data; assures quality of patient and financial data in decision support tools; leads the development, implementation and use of tools and reporting to promote efficiencies and improve quality of information.
Job Responsibilities: Manages team to develop tools/reports for use within finance division and across system to facilitate operational and financial performance review. Develops, maintains and enhances programmatic reviews, service line reporting and analysis tools and provides feedback, direction and education on their use to finance managers, analysts and administrators and other decision makers. Summarizes key findings of monthly financial analysis for presentation to finance and divisional administrative leadership. Manages the development, implementation and supports of use of reports, decision support tools and self-service analytics. Other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's degree with business emphasis required; Master's degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum five years of healthcare or financial related experience required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) certification preferred.
Physical Requirements: Typical physical demands include a high degree of dexterity to produce materials on a PC, normal or corrected vision, extensive sitting and frequent walking, occasional lifting or carrying 5 to 15 pounds in a typical business office environment.
