Job Details: Summary: Responsible for planning, coordinating, providing and evaluating EMT-Paramedic educational activities. Job Responsibilities: Develops, implements and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals. Collaborates with managers and staff to assess the learning needs of staff and new hires. Serves as a consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development. Maintains credentials required for certification. Involved in the ongoing maintenance of the State of Ohio certified or accredited training program. Other duties as assigned. Education: Graduate from an accredited EMT-Paramedic program. Experience: Preferred three years experience in EMS-related area Licensure/Certification/Registration: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), State of Ohio EMS Instructor (EMSINS). ITLS (International Trauma Life Support), PEPP (Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Instructor certifications are recommended. Physical Requirements: The physical requirements of this position are; the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, pursuant to safely ambulating patients as needed. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
