GENERAL SUMMARY
The sonographer works in conjunction with department associates and medical staff to improve patient and work flow via providing support, education and assistance to customers and fellow colleagues. Supports the mission and vision of the Cleveland Clinic Hospital, Weston, Florida.
Responsible for performing those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures for the purpose of detecting pathology. Demonstrates knowledge of clinical procedures, equipment and policies - Hospital and Department - that are necessary for job performance. Operates equipment safely and maintains standards while performing all types of procedures. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff. Collaborates with department leadership to develop and implement methods to achieve established goals and objectives. Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum: Graduate of an accredited Sonography program.
B. Required Length and Type of Experience
Two years experience as an sonographer in an acute care imaging setting is recommended. Knowledge of Federal and State regulatories.
C. Required Licensure, Certification or Registry
ARRT or ARDMS registered or board eligible. ARDMS needs to be obtained within 12 months of hire. BLS certified.
