Job Details: Summary: Performs monthly research expense analysis of the research activity. Upon review, an action plan will be developed for the variances with input from the principal investigator and research management team. Job Responsibilities: Performs monthly research financial oversight and develops action plans for the variances/issues with investigators and research management. Knowledgeable of research financial policies and applications. Monitors for compliance with policy. Reports any compliance issues to the research management team. Provides ad-hoc reports, reconcilements and schedules for management. Responsible for budget development and oversight of research activities. May negotiate budgets, contracts and business terms with external funding agencies. Other duties as assigned. Education: Bachelor's Degree in accounting , finance or related field. Experience: Minimum of Five years of experience within Accounting. Exceptional experience with financial accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Licensure/Certification/Registration: None Physical Requirements: Typical physical demands include a high degree of dexterity to produce materials on a PC. Normal or corrected vision, extensive sitting and frequent walking, occasional lifting or carrying of 5 to 15 pounds.
