Job Details:
Responsible for ensuring that staffing adjustments for assigned areas are completed in an accurate, timely fashion to maintain adequate staff/nurse/patient ratios. Job Responsibilities: Works directly with management of assigned units to produce consistent staffing levels that provide appropriate number of staff to meet operational needs. Proactively seeks coverage for shifts and or special circumstances under the direction and guidelines set by management. Proactively informs management of future and or immediate staffing shortages for any given shift or circumstance. Facilitates scheduling of PRN staff and agency staff to maintain operations for the assigned units. Completes appropriate/adequate documentation utilizing computer for master schedule and time changes and log books for staff call-ins. Other duties as assigned.
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: One year experience utilizing automated systems. Prior staffing/scheduling skills preferred. Associate Degree in information technology or related field may substitute for work experience.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: None
Physical Requirements: Requires manual dexterity for constant data entry and ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to use a telephone without TTY. Articulate speech.
