Job Details:
Participates in the delivery of integrative health care under the auspices and guidance of a chiropractic physician. Under the general supervision of a Physician or Registered Nurse, performs the following functions for patients of all ages: assists Physician and Nurses in direct patient care activities for massage therapy and chiropractic assisting, manages pertinent clinical data in electronic medical record per documentation guidelines, stocks and maintains physical environment of exam and procedure rooms, assists in ordering supplies, greets patients / families upon arrival and escorts to exam room, answers phone, takes messages and relays appropriate information, calls patients under the direction of a Physician or Nurse and assists with maintaining equipment.
Graduate of an accredited massage therapy training program. Requires grasp of basic physiology and anatomy in order to ensure proper teaching and adjustment of individuals participating in the instruction. Current BLS for Healthcare Providers.
Minimum one year experience providing massage services or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Experience working in the healthcare field is preferred. Licensed in Massage Therapy by the State of Ohio. Certificate of completion of Ohio Chiropractic Assistant Course. Current CPR certification.
Requires full body motion to move and lift patients and equipment, lifting of items in excess of 30 pounds. Requires standing and walking for extended times. Ability to assist with positioning and transporting patients ie. carts and wheelchairs. Requires the ability to maneuver equipment and motor coordination to operate equipment.
