Job Details:
Summary: Reviews and processes employee timesheets, coordinates the processing of the payroll runs and special checks as directed; prepares and maintains payroll records, makes all changes necessary to keep such records current, types reports; researches statistics and other pertinent payroll material.
Job Responsibilities: Coordinates Payroll and updates employee records for payroll input including transfers, promotions, new hires and terminations. Assists in processing biweekly payroll. Advises CHAMPS of terminated employees and processes PERS search forms. Keeps payroll registers and year to date records current. Reviews completed payroll runs and reconciles run reports to batch control information. Other duties as assigned. Education: Knowledge of payroll accounting applications as well as of applicable state and federal payroll regulations.
Experience: Minimum one year of payroll/accounting experience.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: None
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Manual dexterity sufficient to use a PC for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, squat, lift and carry paper products up to 25 pounds.
