Job Details:
Candidate needs at least 2 years of perinatal experience. This position will care for patients in all stages of pregnancy including antenatal, labor, delivery and postpartum as well as the newborn.
Summary: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Job Responsibilities: Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Other duties as assigned. Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. Experience: Internal applicants must have one year of related nursing experience. External applicants must have at least two years recent and related experience. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current state licensure as an RN. BLS Certification in all areas or successful completion of BLS in new hire period.ACLS Certification in Critical Care or must obtain same within first year of employment. Physical Requirements: Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of forcefrequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
