Job Details: - High School Diploma or equivalent Required.
Summary: Provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist. Job Responsibilities: Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems. Fills medication carts on a daily basis. Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department. Repackages bulk medications. Other duties as assigned.
Education: High School Diploma or GED and completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program.
Experience: Must have previous pharmacy experience, hospital experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
Physical Requirements: Typical physical demands include ability to perform functions of the job while reaching and stretching, and manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions of job. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and push or pull up to 250 lbs.
