Summary: Coordinates product and service analysis to identify opportunities. Supports contract negotiations and sourcing strategies through established business rules.

Job Responsibilities: Performs data analysis for assigned less complex spend categories. Collaborates with senior level analysts on contract negotiations and projects. Meets with team to identify contract negotiations and other savings opportunities. Initiates requests for quotations and reviews incoming bids for best price, availability of stock, price protection, consignment and other alternatives. Meets with sales representatives to evaluate new products or services available. Supports manager by performing data analysis and preparing reports on category performance. Remains current regarding significant developments concerning goods and services purchased; reviews advertising literature, trade journals and other sources of product and service information. Maintains the proper and appropriate professional and ethical relationships with all vendor representatives, conducts business according to established principles and guidelines. Maintains excellence in customer service. Other duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor's Degree required in supply chain management, transportation and logistics, business or a related field.

Experience: Must possess analytical skills and knowledge of PC computer programs to perform spreadsheet analysis and data extraction.

Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity to operate office equipment. Requires frequent sitting, standing and walking to various locations to attend meetings. Must have normal or corrected vision and clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person. Must have own transportation to travel to multiple sites.
