Job Details: Summary: Van Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of patients, as well as volunteers and others, between their private residences and Hospital. The Patient Van Driver is team-oriented, service-minded, patient, courteous, and helpful. Job Responsibilities: The Patient Van Driver performs special transports as needed and maintains his/her assigned vehicle in clean condition and working order. Other duties as assigned. Education: High school diploma or GED. Able to read, write and speak the English language fluently. Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Experience: Experience in the transportation industry preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid Ohio Driver's License (VDL) with no more than four points. Physical Requirements: Sitting/driving for 2-4 hours continuously and 8-10 hours with breaks. Good hearing, depth perception and peripheral vision. Able to assist physically challenged passengers in and out of van.
