JOB SUMMARY:
The Pharmacy Intern works under the supervision of a staff pharmacist participating in a planned program of supervised, professional, practical training towards becoming a competent pharmacist. Work is designed to be educational and contribute to the functioning of the Pharmacy Department. Will learn and/or performthe various aspects of pharmacy practice under close supervision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful completion of 48 hours of 72 quarter hours of college and acceptance into a school or college of pharmacy approved by the State Board of Pharmacy. Requires 3-6 months on-the-job training to learn the job, department and foundation policies, and department functions. Registration as a Pharmacy Intern in the State of Ohio, or application for registration in process.
Typical physical demands include abilty to perform job while standing, reaching, stretching and sitting for prolonged periods; manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions of job; and abilty to lift upto 20 lbs. while walking, stooping, bending, and reaching; ability to transport 240 lb. cart.
