Job Details:
Summary: Assists with the planning, preparation, and analysis of general accounting processes of the organization.
Job Responsibilities: Prepares monthly and quarterly account reconciliations. Prepares and records journal entries, worksheets and forms as required. Prepares, analyzes, and communicates various finanical schedules to management and external auditors. Responsible for communicating with various health system departments to obtain and record account information. Other duties as assigned.
Under direction of Assistant Director of Financial Reporting, position will help with month end close process including monthly journal emtries, Employee Health Plan accounting, eliminations, consolidation of financial statements, and annual financial statement preparation.
Education: Bachelor's Degree with a major in Accounting or Finance.
Experience: Minimum of three years of relevant experience involving budgeting, handling and developing accounting and financial statements, as well as conducting analyses. Experience with Lawson and Microsoft packages preferred. Requires strong personal computer skills (Microsoft office suite preferred).
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or candidate preferred. Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity to operate office equipment. Ability to lift and transport up to 15 pounds. May require extended periods of standing, walking or sitting.
