Position location is Independence (BOC)
Summary: Reviews and analyzes charge master data to facilitate optimal billing and collection activities. Job Responsibilities: Recognizes and resolves billing inconsistencies. Uses clinical and coding knowledge to ensure accurate and compliant charge items. Collaborates with managed care department to code billable items for reimbursement. Collaborates with cost accountant to secure information for billable items. Facilitate revisions with appropriate clinical departments. Analyzes content of system-generated reports and software edits. Coordinates projects and audits to improve revenue cycle, charging and billing efficiency and collection processes. Other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Materials Management or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of three years healthcare revenue cycle experience including one year analytical experience.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: None
Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity to operate office equipment. Requires frequent data entry, sitting, standing and walking; must have normal or correction vision to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.
