Job Details:
Summary: Ensures completion of overall project deliverables on smaller scope or ITD projects. Manages project budget, schedule, scope, quality and risk to achieve business objective. Analyzes project performance timelines and dependencies; implements corrective actions. Manages project work plan, resolves project issues, mitigates strategies for project risks and manages project resources. Provides proactive project communications to the project owner.
Job Responsibilities: Interfaces with ITD program manager/ director in the definition of project. Develops project charter and tracks performance to charter. Monitors and reports progress throughout the project lifecycle. Defines Project requirements according to the PMO established standards. Ensures appropriate project plans are developed, scope and deliverable defined, resources secured and expectations are set. Monitor and review work plans; assess implications of schedule changes. Provides team leads with the tools to complete deliverables. Monitors implementation; ensures minimal impacts to end-users; ensures required support activities are completed prior to turning over to production. Defines and executes project planning process. Collaborates with project leads to standardize process across IT organization. Other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management, Management Information Systems or related degree preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of industry standard technologies and applications.
Experience: A minimum of two years project management and two years technical experience in a large complex health care organization required. Eight years project management and six years technical experience in a large complex health care organization may offset degree.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Project management certification PMI or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements: High degree of dexterity to produce materials on a PC, normal or corrected vision, extensive sitting and frequent walking, occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds.
