Job Details: Summary: Under the supervision of a dentist, performs medical and administrative skills to support patients and dental services staff. Job Responsibilities: Assists with performing assessments and treatments. Performs diagnostic radiographs. Obtains alginate impressions for diagnostic and/or intra-oral appliances. Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned. Maintains dental equipment and medical supplies, including sterilizing instruments, reordering, stocking, cleaning and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas. Other duties as assigned. Education: Knowledge and understanding of the dental management of medically compromised patients to include cardiology, oncology, hematology and infectious disease patients. Experience: Five years dental assisting experience. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certified by Dental Assisting National Board as a Certified Dental Assistant; Current Ohio State Dental Board Radiographers License. Physical Requirements: Must be able to ambulate patients for x rays and to dental chair. Dexterity sufficient to operate CRT/PC and other office equipment. Ability to work while standing the majority of work day. Requires frequent data entry, lifting patients, pushing/pulling over 75 pounds, sitting, squatting, standing and walking
