Job Details:
Summary: Assures the appropriate selection, dosing, administration, and dispensing of medication orders. Responsible for the oversight and supervision of activities of Pharmacy Technicians. Job Responsibilities: Reviews and assesses medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential and actual drug related problems. Recommends formulary alternatives when appropriate. Compounds and dispenses medications for retail sales and/or delivery to patient care areas. Provides drug information and education to medical staff and patients. Communicates with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care. Other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited college of pharmacy. Experience: Minimum one year related experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Licensed as a Pharmacist(R.Ph). or eligible sit for Ohio State Board of Pharmacy licensure exam and obtain Ohio licensure within 90 days of hire. Physical Requirements: Mobility, grasping, reaching, bending, sitting and standing. Ability to lift up tp 20 lbs. and push, pull up to 250lbs.
